The Wellness Way –
About The Wellness Way in Appleton, Wisconsin
We understand that common is not normal, and unlike the restrictive healthcare mentality, we dig deeper to find answers to life-restricting health challenges.
We focus on overcoming the three main causes of interference in the body — trauma, toxins, and thoughts — to go beyond symptom-based care and address your unique physiology in a way that allows your mind and body to find an individualized path back to better health.
We don’t guess, we test; rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, we utilize the most in-depth testing and cutting-edge diagnostic tools to uncover the hidden sources of health problems.
We provide the essential guidance to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles through a combination of testing, individual plans, and one-on-one guidance to restore your body to total wellness.
Meet Our Team
Dr. Bradley Rahikainen is a Minnesota native that grew up hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and doing all sorts of outdoor activities with friends and family. Prior to becoming a Chiropractor, he worked in nursing homes, hospitals, emergency rooms, and even the intensive care unit as a health unit coordinator. This is where he developed his love for healthcare.
He Graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University with his bachelors in Human Biology and Doctorate of Chiropractic. While going to school, Dr. Brad had participated in the Wellness Way Student Club and completed an internship at The Wellness Way Green Bay and here at The Wellness Way Appleton!
Dr. Brad enjoys helping people overcome health challenges because he knows personally how these challenges can hold a person back from living the life that they were meant to live.

Jennifer Mauel was born and raised in the Fox Valley. She received her undergraduate degree in Human Biology and Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay. She attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA and earned her doctorate in 2011. While at Palmer, she held two internships specializing in the Gonstead method of analyzing and adjusting. Jennifer also traveled to Madagascar on a chiropractic mission trip to provide care for local orphanages and schools.
Jennifer comes from a chiropractic family and her first adjustment was mere hours after her birth, given to her by her father. Her passion for chiropractic, a healthy lifestyle, and thinking differently has been innate.
Jennifer is married to her high school sweetheart and they have four children and two dogs. She enjoys any activity outside, cooking, reading and a good cup of coffee.
Dr. Jesse Anderson finds no greater joy than to see his patients change and learn how to be in control of their own health. This passion started with his own health journey when he started noticing improvements and change in aspects of his life he hadn’t realized needed improvement.
He graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay with a double major in Human Biology and Theatre. From there he went on to Fox Valley School of Massage to become a massage therapist and ultimately Northwestern Health Sciences University to receive his Doctorate of Chiropractic.
Today, Dr. Jesse loves studying the brain and other aspects of the body such as gut health and adrenal function that have a profound influence on mental health.
About Our Events
What is your definition of health? At The Wellness Way, we recognize that most people have been conditioned to believe how modern-day healthcare practices are the experts of restoration and preventative medicine. However, our perception of the way the body functions differs from what is traditionally taught. Therefore, we conduct regular informational events to communicate how we view various systems in the human body. Our take on subjects such as hormones, inflammation, autoimmunity, metabolic syndrome, cancer, thyroid health, etc., strays away from “traditional” aspects. We value our patients’ ability to engage with their healthcare journey, which is why we hope by attending these events they achieve accountability and can take charge of their own bodies for a healthier future.
