Shopping for spices in the store can be complicated. Often times, there are ambiguous ingredients such as “spices” that make it difficult to know what you’re buying. Make your own homemade barbecue rub with natural, organic ingredients!

Total Prep Time: 5-10 minutes Makes: 12-14 servings.

*Remember to buy organic and avoid your food allergies when making this recipe! If you do not know what your food allergies are get them tested soon!


1 tablespoon organic garlic granules
1 tablespoon organic onion granules
1/2 tablespoon sea salt
1/2 tablespoon organic turmeric
1/2 teaspoon organic black ground pepper (or grains of paradise if you have a pepper allergy)
1 tablespoon organic chili powder
1 tablespoon organic Cajun spice with desired heat level
2 tablespoons organic paprika


  1. Place in a bowl and mix all spices with whisk until blended together.
  2. Store in a spice container.
  3. Rub generously on all poultry, beef, lamb, etc., before cooking.
  4. Enjoy!
