You know that fun chocolate topping for ice cream that hardens when it hits the cold ice cream? Well, now you can make it at home! And it’s not full of all the unhealthy ingredients! It’s sure to become a favorite!!

*Remember to buy organic and avoid your food allergies when making this recipe! If you do not know what your food allergies are, get them tested soon!


1 cup Lily’s dark chocolate chips
3 Tbsp organic coconut oil (make sure to measure it when solid)


Combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a saucepan and melt on low-medium heat, stirring constantly.

After it’s fully melted, allow it to cool for a few minutes before enjoying it as a topping on your favorite ice cream. If you’re looking for a good ice cream that’s also a healthier alternative, we love Cado! Believe it or not, it’s made with avocados–how fun!!

Store the leftover magic shell chocolate in an airtight container at room temperature. Do not refrigerate. And make sure to stir it well before using it again over ice cream.
