Rather than buying marshmallows that have corn syrup and artificial flavors, make your own homemade marshmallows for s’mores, rice crispy bars, or just to eat alone!

Total Prep Time: 20-30 minutes Makes: 4-6 servings

*Remember to buy organic and avoid your food allergies when making this recipe! If you do not know what your food allergies are get them tested soon!

INGREDIENTS:

2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
6 Tbsp water
1 cup organic maple syrup
1 tsp organic vanilla extract
¼ tsp sea salt
coconut oil
tapioca starch (or other starch)

DIRECTIONS:

Dissolve gelatin in 6 Tbsp of boiling water.

Add maple syrup, vanilla, and sea salt.

Beat with electric mixer for 12 minutes, until thick. Batter should triple in size. Coat a 9 x 12 inch dish with coconut oil and dust with starch. Pour marshmallow batter into dish.

Let cool for at least 3 hours or overnight.

Cut marshmallows into squares with a wet knife.
